As a research project, we have made an interactive LED lamp which is hanging in our office. It consists of 512 individually controllable RGB LEDs covered by cotton and hollow 3D-printed hexagonal columns, which are representing several trigonometric functions as a parametric design feature. The lamp is running on a Raspberry Pi Model B+ and we use the Fadecandy hardware and C++ software framework to control the LEDs.
It is also connected to Facebook, so that every time we get a new like on our Facebook page, the lamp notifies us in an entertaining matter.
